Resolved Question: What happens when you put a Muslim imam, a Christian priest, a Rabbi and a Buddhist monk in a room with 10?
atheists? And do you think doing something like this for the sake of ratings is disrespectful to all religions? Turkish television station Kanal T hopes the answer is a ratings success as it prepares to launch a gameshow where spiritual guides from the four faiths will seek to convert a group of non-believers. The prize for converts will be a pilgrimage to a holy site of their chosen religion -- Mecca for Muslims, the Vatican for Christians, Jerusalem for Jews and Tibet for Buddhists. But religious authorities in Muslim but secular Turkey are not amused by the twist on the popular reality game show format and the Religious Affairs Directorate is refusing to provide an imam for the show. "Doing something like this for the sake of ratings is disrespectful to all religions. Religion should not be a subject for entertainment programmes," High Board of Religious Affairs Chairman Hamza Aktan told state news agency Anatolian after news of the planned programme emerged. The makers of "Penitents Compete" are unrepentant and reject claims that the show, scheduled to begin broadcasting in September, will cheapen religion. "We are giving the biggest prize in the world, the gift of belief in God," Kanal T chief executive Seyhan Soylu told Reuters. "We don't approve of anyone being an atheist. God is great and it doesn't matter which religion you believe in. The important thing is to believe," Soylu said. Some 200 people have so far applied to take part in the show and the 10 contestants will be chosen next month. A team of theologians will ensure that the atheists are truly non-believers and are not just seeking fame or a free holiday. moreOpen Question: "What time is the scheduled tennis match between Andy Roddick and Andy Murray?? I am talking about Wimbeldon Semifinals for Men on July 3rd, 2009. And I am talking about USA time zone television. Thanks. moreVoting Question: Hows my grammer and stfuf? Grade me please.?
Education Over Powered by Media The average American today would prefer to read “People’s Magazine” rather than the fact filled “TIME Magazine”. This shows the lack of interest Americans have toward gaining knowledge of current actions that effect our surrounding. But instead we choose to fill our minds with facts and rumors about celebrities or the latest entertainment out. Due to this education is not being valued in American culture today, yet Americans value media. According to statistical information Americans are ranked 18th out of the world’s educational rankings. We strive towards gaining popularity and being concerned about staying up to date with the latest trends. Education in America is made simple for all Americans with the luxurious public schools that provide many assets that no other country in the world would be able to. American public school system is known to be the most lenient due to the “no child left behind”, which was a law that was passed a couple years ago where no student could not be held back in the classes K-8. The school schedule system in the U.S. is short on the amount of time and days compared to the eastern parts of the world such as France, Asia, and United Kingdom. For instance, Asia tends to study for leisure even if there is no work pending. Americans would choose to watch television for leisure or try to fit into new trends. The Asian school schedule is six days a week rather than it being five days of the week, and study over our average six hours of school. The intelligence that average Asian students consist of is because of all the effort they put into studying for their leisure time. For instance, in the reading “Little Asia on the Hill”, Egan states, “ All undergraduate population is 41 percent Asian.”(Egan 289). This quote helps explain the idea on how there is a large population of Asians rather than the average American in one of the Ivy League colleges in America. This quote makes clear that Americans don’t value education, because if they did they would be the ones crowding the Ivy League colleges not people like international students. The average American values media more than education. Now why is that? Simply because the American pop culture, which focuses on the media, the new fashion trends, and relationships. Any television show one might ever come across will be able to notice what Americans tend to focus on materialism and socialization. For example “Hannah Montana”, basically is about a young girl that is a famous singer and how she deals with her reality through relationships. This show is very popular today since it shows the side of fame every American including children want today. Most of the children through the years of elementary are highly influenced by television that eliminates the importance of education in most of the minds of American children. Now just imagine if every child was to be educationally informed through television and not give importance to oblivious television shows similar to “Hannah Montana”, where would we be today? Well, the point is if young children would be able to subtract unnecessary shows similar to such, as we grow old we would have a better stance in education than it is today. Most of the Ivy League college recite here in the U.S. if one was to notice the diversity in the student body they are mostly international. Now that clearly states that international student surely do value education. Being an American we have so many advantages towards getting accepted to any Ivy League college one may desire. Americans are completely blind toward that thought of having such an advantages. The only answer of not being able to consist these advantages is none other than being influenced by the media, they want materialistic things and want to socialize moreover than being influenced by education. For example, the current situation in American News the death of Michael Jackson is being more over powered than the rising fact of a war occurring between Korea and Iraq. This is just an example of many incidents that occur in a daily bases in the average Americans life. Americans obviously don’t take education seriously, whereas the only solution to make this aspect of life a serious one might be to eliminate unnecessary media. Also another solution might be, not to be funded if you pass any subject or class, but if one were to fail any subject they would be funded on their failure. This solution might bring motivation to some Americans than others. Americans do not value education and they value the media. American culture basically focuses on nothing more than American pop culture that includes fame, media, and relationships, which is oblivious towards the topic of education. The media has influenced our generation to such an extent that all one can see in American culture is that they socialize, materialize, and want nothing but fame. People of this generation have lacked in the form of education in m moreVoting Question: How do I become on Television shows like on Disney?

Rate me A,B,C,D,F. i have already posted this but now i am finished, im an 8th grader and my teacher asked us questions of a career and she told us to write an essay. help yourself to giving me criticism. Music Producer By: Karen Sandoval The two professions I considered were working as a publicist or a music producer. a publicist generates and manages publicity for someone like a celebrity, or for a work like a book or film. A music producer is the creative leader of any studio, film, television or radio recording project. Though these choices are both very good careers I have chosen music producing. I have chosen this career because it would be fun working with music and making a new sound. I do know that it takes a lot of work, like being on a hectic schedule, dealing with budget pressures, and finishing a song on time. Some reasons for my choice are that I would get to work with some musicians, and making someone’s dream of maybe becoming the next biggest hit. A music producer needs to be a people person, be a charismatic person, and to be able to relate well to your recording artists. I would also enjoy it being remunerative, but I would need to work hard to do so. If I have to I could get things done and organized quickly. I love music but it would a challenge to open up my imagination, and be creative in order to keep coming up with songs, as a result of being on a hurried schedule. Music producers assure that a project stays within budget, secure a studio time, aid artists in choosing songs to record and help give them a quality performance, help audio engineers in the mixing, mastering, and recording process. Managing a high school band, writing some songs, experience in playing a instrument would all be really good experiences for becoming a music producer. Music club, band, orchestra, performing arts would be good clubs in high school, but it is not mandatory. Music production, Musical History and Theory, Composition, Songwriting, Ear Training, Copyright Law, Finance and Marketing, Entrepreneurship course would be helpful for up incoming music producers. All these things would be a good preparation for people who want to be music producers. Ultimately, becoming a music producer would be a good career for me, because I would be able to work on the things I love and benefit from it also. Music producers have an important job in the recording industry, second only to the artists themselves. Music producers oversee all aspects of a recording session to the financial matters and everything in between. moreResolved Question: What do you think of my essay?

Or not?
What to look forward to now that it appears there will be two top auto racing series: 1) Toyota has 10 races left to place itself in the F1 history books with a darned win. Otherwise a waste of billions of dollars invested in so many years with no wins 2) Next year Force India can finally get points and possibly aim at podium finishes. (Hey today Sutil was 3rd in practice - maybe they are already smelling the roses) 3) Williams has the chance to go back to the early 90's. Better late than never 4) Maranello's church bells can start playing again at the sole announcement of a breakaway series. They've been silent for a while 5) After succeeding and cooperating together in FOTA, Montezemolo and Briatore can start bickering at each other again 6) The Italians can start jumping up and down at the notion that Ferrari will race a third car with Valentino Rossi as driver (Yea, right, but I spoke with Italy today, and they are actually talking about it!!!!!!) 7) We may experience television schedule conflicts between the 2 racing series 8) Alonso can finally finalize his contract with Ferrari 9) McLaren suspended penalty for the lying saga will be void 10) Montecarlo will not be so fortunate to host Briatore's mega yacht during the F1 Monaco G.P. any longer Any more to add guys??? Please, keep adding to this list. It should be funCat, How did you know about my telephone system? Yea, my phone for when I call Italy is Ferrari red. When I call the UK is British green. Does a half-time show really need "brought to you by Company XYZ?" If Company XYZ didn't drop a stupid amount of money to have someone else say their name, would we still have a half-time show? Do sports leagues really need to base their scheduling on the whims of television networks, and not what's in the best interest of the league? And don't even get me started on NASCAR. That's just a bunch of walking advertisements who drive advertisements on wheels for hundreds laps. And just how many college football bowl games can we get? At this rate, we're going to have two 4-8 teams playing a game all because some company drops a ton of money to get their name in a bowl game. It is just me, or is anyone else getting really disgusted at the lengths companies go just to get their name in front of you to buy some product of theirs that you don't want or need? moreVoting Question: Do I have a chance of admission at Northwestern?
Northwestern is my absolute dream school, but I've recently started to second-guess my chances of admission. Most of this stress has come about as a result of what I see as a terrible ACT score (29). I've always been a poor test-taker, and I'm just hoping that a below-average (for NU, at least) performance on one standardized test doesn't completely diminish any hopes of attending Northwestern. Here are my stats: GPA (weighted): 4.09 ACT: 29 Class rank: 8 of 262 AP classes: I've taken 5 so far (I'm just finishing my junior year) and I'll be taking 2-3 more during my senior year. I've taken national exams for all of these classes, with nearly all 4s and 5s (one 3 on AP Gov, which I took freshman year). - General info: I'm a white female with no legacy at NU. Extracurriculars: - I'm a member of my city's Youth Advisory Council, serving both on the Core board and one subcommittee. We plan events, help at community outings, and make decisions regarding youth programs within our city. - Newspaper column: I've written a monthly pop culture column in my local newspaper for nearly 4 years. - Dance: My city holds a large annual Dutch heritage festival, and I've performed as a traditional "Klompen" dancer for 3 years. - Theatre: Soon-to-be 3 years of involvement in school theatre, in addition to lifelong participation in community theatre. - People to People Student Ambassadors: I spent three weeks in Europe as a P2P Student Ambassador. In addition to touring Italy, France, and England, we also participated in a community service project and met with several public officials (including a member of Parliament). - Music: I played cello in my school orchestra for 6 years (I was forced to drop the class this year as a result of scheduling conflicts) - PALs: Peer Assistance and Listening -- I was nominated for this program by peers and teachers. As a PAL, I serve as a peer counselor for fellow students and spend one hour a day working with younger students in a middle school classroom. - Tutoring: I tutor 7th-graders for one hour a week after school. - In 8th grade, I received a Best-in-State award at the National History Day competition in Washington, D.C. for my documentary on Dr. Jack Kevorkian and assisted suicide. - I took two years of college-level writing in 7th and 8th grade through a local university. - Also involved with: National Honor Society, SADD, Student Council, and Amnesty International. I have visited Northwestern and hope to apply early decision. If admitted. I would like to seek a major in Radio, Film, and Television. Do you think there is still a chance of admission, especially given my low ACT score? Thanks in advance-- I've been freaking myself out about this, so I'd like a few outside (and perhaps more well-informed) opinions. :) moreVoting Question: How is my workout schedule?I'll post pics of myself soon?

I want to modify my workout, or can you guys give me a more intense workout on the weekdays? I'm also going to get the iron gym thing you see on the Television very soon. Any tips on dieting, I am chinese and I know I'm being sterotypical but white rice is in my diet almost everyday. I don't really eat much for breakfast, maybe a granola bar or two. I do not eat at fast food places that often, once or twice a month, and usually I wont get that much there. I avoid soda as much as possible same with junk foods. U-verseMay 22, 2009 I will soon make a rearrangement that will place my computer in another room. There are single cables running to the room where the computer is now and a cable running to the room where a television is now and the computer will be. These two cables run to the attic where both are connected to a biplexer. There is a cable that runs from the center connector of the biplexer to a tv/internet interface that is outside. I assume to have my computer operate successfully in the room where the tv is now it will be necessary to reverse the two cables on the biplexer. This will put the computer connected to the side of the biplexer that it is now connected and the tv on the other side. The Real World Leora B. Kurtzer Jeffrey Boone had just come home from a long day at work. As he walked into the house his children jumped into his arms. He read a note that his wife had left him on the table. "Hi honey, won't be home till around twelve-ish, I left some money for pizza…" the usual note these days. Barbara Boone was a tax attorney and since it was tax season and she had to work long hours Jeffrey sort of took on being mom as well. All Jeffrey needed was 10, 15 minutes of relaxation. He ordered the pizza and left his children in the dining room to enjoy it while he escaped upstairs, his bedroom, his television. Finally he had some time to himself, no boss, no notes, no children. No one could stand between him and catching up on the day that had been so easily forgotten with the load of work he had done. Click. CNN was on. Jeff laid down on his bed and put his hands to his head as a sign to any intruder that he was relaxing. He transfixed his eyes on the television just in time to hear CNN's theme song indicating that the main news was about to start. "Today, Joe Bennet was arrested from his home in Malibu after authorities found a drug stash in his house," the news reporter said, " his daughter was the one who called the police after witnessing her father selling drugs to kids from her school and offered it to her as well…" she sat there in a room waiting to be questioned. Had she done the right thing? She didn't even know what was right anymore. Ten hours ago she had called the police on her cell phone from her school. Nine hours and thirty minutes ago her father had been taken into custody…because of her. She longed to be like the other kids in her class, normal families, normal social lives, and normal lives. She however was alone. Her mother had died when she was eight because of an overdose, her father was now in jail, and no one had thought of her when they had made their life changing decisions… "Further questioning is taking place and the trial is scheduled to take place in another two weeks. We would like to go to Tom June, with new updates on the situation in the Middle East." "Thanks sally," tom said after a short lag time, "there has been another attack in Sderot, two people were killed, five injured…" Aaron waited in the waiting room while they operated on his sister's legs. It seemed like a century had passed since he had been playing in the living room with Sarah. He had gone to the bathroom and as he walked out there was a huge bang. He had ran... but he was too late, when he came into the room he saw his sister in a puddle of blood. And now he was in the hospital just sitting in the waiting room wishing he could do more than just wait, wishing it had been him. He opened up a psalms book. Why her she is only six, why her? "yes because of her small age and size it did not look odd to any of the people at the beach. There however has been no ransom asked or anything of that sort, not even a clue of where she could have been taken to after the beach." Derek continued. "yes what's interesting is that it wasn't even the parents who called the police it was a lady of no connection to the family who called 'I saw a man holding girl who was crying, he looked very aggressive and something did not seem right then I saw some other men join and they threw the poor little girl in the back seat that was when I decided it would be better to call the police rather than not so I did'…" Mary saunder sat down at her table. She hadn't slept in weeks; all she could think of was her little darling angel not sleeping. Mary feared sleep because that was when the nightmares came, the nightmares of the worst possible scenario that Jesse could be in right now. She wanted her daughter back to hold and hug and kiss whenever she wanted to. She felt like life had stopped. Why did such an innocent girl have to have this pain. Her friends had been supportive and comforting but it seemed like they had stopped caring like they had gone on with life. The Real World Leora B. Kurtzer Jeffrey Boone had just come home from a long day at work. As he walked into the house his children jumped into his arms. I'm 19 and living with my parents while I attend college, but they are really getting on my nerves lately and don't have the money to move out because I have to pay for my own vehicle and schooling... Its really hard to explain exactly what they do, but I'm going to try, if only to help myself. - They are extremely nosy for one and constantly ask me penetrating questions about everything. For example, ex-girlfriends, work, daily life. - Its like they are needy children constantly requiring help with EVERYTHING!!! Computers, Television, Internet, and a million other tedious tasks that they don't attempt to fix themselves before screaming my name down the hallway. - I get sarcastic comments from them about moving out or my constantly changing schedule due to work or school. - I only get to relax for a few hours every other day with my schedule, but even for those few hours they can't seem to leave me alone... - I'm not going to try and explain this one, but I will give some type of example. When I ask them anything... a question or favor about anything... like "Who is coming over?" or "What's for dinner?" I get a response that doesn't make a lick of sense... I know for a fact they are not retarded, or at least I pretend they are not. These responses drive me crazy!!!... I can't get a straight answer!!! Strachan hits out at TV schedule Live matches involving Celtic and Rangers are lucrative to Setanta Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has criticised television scheduling of SPL matches involving the Old Firm. Live games involving Celtic and Rangers are invariably played on a Sunday when they are away from home in line with broadcaster Setanta's preferences. "It's a complete nonsense," Strachan told BBC Scotland. "Rangers and Celtic have to play away every week when you see them live on the telly. "You don't see that with Manchester United and Liverpool." Strachan's criticism came after Celtic beat Aberdeen 2-0 at in the Scottish Premier League courtesy of goals from Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Scott McDonald. "That game would have been perfect to show live," said Strachan. Rangers and Celtic have to play away every week when you see them live on the telly Celtic manager Gordon Strachan "What you saw out there was magnificent football; Aberdeen having a go, players working hard, good systems, crowds, sunshine and a perfect pitch." Scotland's SPL clubs could be facing a reduction in revenue earned from television, with Irish broadcaster Setanta keen to renegotiate its contract for future seasons. Setanta, whose current deal to show SPL games ends next term, last year agreed to pay £125m over four seasons for exclusive live coverage from 2010. On August 18, 2006, Vincent Margera was arrested at the Colorado Mills Mall in Lakewood, Colorado for allegedly groping two 12-year-old girls inappropriately at an autograph signing and was subsequently held with bail set at USD$50,000.[5] He posted bond around 10:00 p.m. the following Monday. As a condition of his bond, Margera was ordered not to possess any alcohol, drugs, or weapons, and is not permitted to contact the victims.[6] During a preliminary hearing on February 1, 2007, the arresting officer, Melissa Mayne, testified that Margera called her and a fellow officer "psycho bitches" during his arrest. He is represented by Pamela Mackey, the same lawyer who defended Kobe Bryant.[7] There was an arraignment hearing on March 5, 2007 at which he pleaded not guilty. A motions hearing occurred on May 25, 2007 and a five-day jury trial was scheduled to begin on August 27, 2007.[8] In August, Margera was accused of 12 felony counts for violating his bail conditions and if convicted on those counts he could receive up to 18 months in prison.[9] The criminal trial started October 22 in Golden, Colorado. In court on October 24, Margera's attorney argued he was playing his "goofy, outrageous and vulgar" television persona for the young teens.[10] The girl accusing Margera was "shocked" by his actions, according to witnesses.[11] The prosecutor said Margera was "out of control during this public event. He was so intoxicated that he peed his pants while with these children."[12] On the second day of testimony, a teenage boy testified that "he was sitting near the table where Margera was giving autographs and saw him grab at girls who came around the table for photos".[13] On Friday October 27, the third day of the trial, defense attorneys portrayed Margera as a "benign bumbler" and argued that Margera's signature arm movement may have been mistaken for breast fondling.[14] His sister-in-law April Margera told the court "she has never seen Margera fondle anyone, on or off the show."[15] On cross-examination, the prosecutor asked April if she saw her brother-in-law fondle girls; when she said "no", the prosecutor "showed her three pictures, one of Margera apparently trying to kiss a woman's breast and two of him apparently trying to fondle women's breasts."[15] The defense and prosecution made their closing statements on October 31 and the jury started to deliberate the case in late afternoon.[16] Defense attorneys "concede he was profane and outrageous but contend he was just playing the role of Don Vito."[17] On October 31 he was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault on a minor and acquitted on one count. After hearing the conviction, Margera collapsed on the floor and yelled, "Just kill me now!" as guards restrained then removed him from the room. On November 1, 2007, he was put on suicide watch.[18][19] He was held at the Jefferson County Detention Facility until his sentencing on December 20, 2007.[20] He faced between 2 years to life in prison.wtf how is it the girls fault? you're retarded moreResolved Question: Can someone edit this essay for me (it needs to be in first person and a better memoir)?
It's just needs to be more of a memoir and cutting it down would be awesome as well. Floor Hockey Adventures As I enter the gymnasium, all eyes are centered around me. Only armed with a stick in hand, it’s my duty to carefully watch every move that my opponents’ make. With one swift move I can either be the “gym class hero” or the one who “ruined everything for the entire team”. Nervously awaiting the sound of the whistle, my heart begins to beat out of my chest. From the minute that whistle sounds, my eyes can never leave the ball placed in front of me. Surrounded by a group of jocks and boy crazed girls, it’s up to me, the only shy girl in the room, to prove I'm not afraid of breaking a nail and getting tough with the boys. This was the epitome of gym class floor hockey. Throughout high school , I was the girl who was always “just there” when it came to gym class. I was the outcast in a family of jocks who every Sunday afternoon crowded around the television, almost in a religious manner, to watch sports. Having two siblings who excelled in every sport placed in front of them didn’t help much either. By the time high school rolled around, the neighbors who had watched my siblings play for years were convinced I was adopted. Finally, after waiting an entire summer for my tenth grade schedule, it had arrived. Carefully sealed in a large yellow envelope, I tore off every corner of the envelope gently peeking to see what lie ahead of me. Everything was perfectly there in order, just how I liked it. I couldn’t imagine any other schedule being so perfect; that was until I compared it with my brother’s. After avoiding classes with him throughout our entire school career, there it was in black and white; we shared fourth period gym. What could have happened? I asked myself. The worst class to share together; the place where he excelled and I failed. Panic began to run across my face and all I could do was pray I wouldn’t make a fool out of myself. Every sport I played was a complete and total disaster. Volleyball, Tennis, Lacrosse; I never had a problem living up to my non-athletic image. Just when I thought our gym class together couldn’t get any worse, the next sport scheduled was floor hockey. Knowing I wouldn’t get picked, my brother looked across the room; carefully eyeing all of his selections for a final teammate. As luck would have it my name was called and I was the last one joining his team. Just when I thought I would be leading our team to a major downfall, I ended up being the factor that made our team shine. With a class full of jocks, nobody expected someone as sport deprived as myself to make a difference in the game. Using this factor to my advantage, I soon enjoyed every minute of the sport. It's not done yet and it's due tomorrow so please as much help as possible would be amazing moreResolved Question: True or false in regards to television prgraming?

My husband and I have seven kids, five still live at home. Their ages are 5, 9, 13, 14 and 16. All are generally very well behaved, no major issues. A problem has developed in the past six months. Due to work schedules, my husband and I must go to bed at 9 p.m. each night. Generally we put the two youngest to bed at nine, and tell the others to shut everything off at ten. I rarely get up in the middle of the night, but last night at midnight the phone rang (one quick burst) and I stumbled out of bed to find her on the phone…and my 13-year-old son in the living room watching television! This has happened before, and my son always says “I forgot.” (yeah) Therefore I woke all the kids this morning, earlier than usual ;-), and told them that from now on the electronics will be shut off at nine since I can’t trust them to do it themselves. This includes cell phones, regular phones, computer, TV and radio. Of course this doesn’t guarantee they won’t sneak up after they know I’m asleep, but that is another issue. My 16-year-old son says that moving the cut off time to nine punishes him for their actions. Two nights a week he doesn’t get home from work until nine, and he talks to his girlfriend on his cell. Instinct tells me rules are rules. But do you think it is possible to allow HIM to turn everything off at ten while still moving the others’ time to nine? I imagine it would be too difficult to police who is up when, and easier to just say “everything off.” But I don’t want to be unfair to the oldest teen, as he isn’t the one breaking that rule. Then again, life isn't fair. moreResolved Question: Where can I find a complete schedule of reality television shows for the coming week or day?

Have you spoken at all with any older people...the ones that remember having to sneak their children across borders under Russian rule? Or how about the ones that had to send their children to school that were forced to be taught russian and treated like embeciles? Did you speak to any that had to flee to Austria to live in refugee camps? Or do you just speak to the young, the liberal...the college professors? To laud yourselves for the acquisition of The Wire, then hamstring the potential audience for this by such harebrained scheduling beggars belief. This is a huge show. Why not ten o'clock, I understand you cannot move Newsnight, so why not BBC three or four, plus a later showing on BBC two? Maybe even a catch-up on one of these channels? Many of us who are unable to pay for DVD box sets or satellite subscriptions (but who do pay a license fee), have been hearing about, then yearning for a chance to see this show. The complex, involved nature of the format means that to miss one episode is to be cast hopelessly adrift. A whole audience in front of their television sets at eleven-twenty every night for sixty episodes? So the BBC has chosen to render their biggest buy-in of one of the biggest TV shows of recent years impotent. Really? Channel four built a reputation for excellent programming on creative buy-ins, good scheduling. Don't repeat the same mistake you made with Seinfeld. Given the state of your current out-put, how weak your own drama is these days, should you not think about using resources, like the import of a critically acclaimed show, to bolster your flagging schedules, especially if you consider how thinly you're spreading weak programming over multi channels? Can you honestly imagine Channel Four buying this show, and then scheduling it this way? Or do you think they might look to achieve sustained attainable ratings? Perhaps the thought of a large audience watching an imported show, is still thought of as being a little crass at the BBC. As to the fiasco of this show not being available on iplayer, better to have not bought the show than embarrass your implementation of iplayer, with a limitation that cripples the application at exactly the point at which it should have come into it’s own. If you cannot buy something on reasonable terms, please do not waste my money on it. I would find it very unsurprising if the same contract that stops you from streaming the show, forbids repeats and stipulated the ridiculous scheduling of 60 episodes, back to back, as everything here seems contrived to force viewers wishing to see the show to buy the box set. Perhaps the BBC has now taken on advertising, for HBO products. Ahh... Do you remember when Channel Four bought the Sopranos? Golden days, golden days. moreResolved Question: Main WWE superstar being left out at WrestleMania 25?
Top WWE roster not schedule at WrestleMania 25 includes: Umaga-I heard that he re-injured his PCL, but I don't think it should take that long to recover it though. There's also no plans for him. The Great Khali-He has been disapearing from television show. Was starting a feud with Vladimir Kosvol, but it seemed to vanished. Could appear at the 25 Divas battle royal(not saying he's going to participate like Santino Marella). Vladimir Kosvol-Was progessing a feud with Undertaker,Shawn Michael, and The Great Khali, but ever since The Great Khali rarely appears on TV and getting defeated by Shawn Michael and Undertaker, there was no more plans for him. R-truth-Booked to be in the MTB, but was replaced, and then was booked to defeat Jack Swagger for the ECW Champion but plans change. Despite gaining popularity already, he hasn't appear on TV that often anymore. No plans for him, which could lead to his release from the WWE. Evan Bourne-Returned and starting a minor feud with the Tyson Kid. That's not a big enough match for WrestleMania. Although I think he should've been in the MTB or vs Jack Swagger for the ECW Champion. No big plans for him. Mr Kennedy-Injured, but he did make occasional appearance on Smackdown in the past. Not able to compete at WrestleMania 25. Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase(Jr.)-Generation superstar, probably just managing Randy Orton or interfering in the match. Notes:I did not included everyone, those who are not book will be in the lumberjack match, I heard there will be a battle royal for the one contender shot at the ECW Champion(that is why I didn't add Jack Swagger) and sorry if I didn't include Tommy Dreamer. moreResolved Question: What's the difference between a fact writer and a fact checker?

And I don't mean this season, I mean really end, How do you people watch this crap, its the worst show on television and it pre-emps and moves everything else. its just in time to fuck up Houses schedule after the damn world series finally ends. its going to be the reason that Lie To Me gets cancelled enough is enough for the love of god when will this show die. also do you think it would actually end if the vote for the worst campaign worked, (exp. if Sanjya won last year) I heard that Simon said he would end the show if Sanjya won. moreResolved Question: Can you get new phone service with a different phone company after your carrier soft disconnect you?
I have had Cavalier phone services for years, with DSL and television. I used to love the company and I was employed there for 3 years until I was laid off after another company bought them out (and perhaps I should have seen the warning signs then but the service was still cheap). The problem is, I have had nothing but trouble since they merged with Talk America. The internet service doesn't work half the time these days and the television does not work at all. I have been going through the loop for 2 months now. Sometimes the tech doesn't show up. When he does, nothing is fixed or the problems simply come back a short time later. Through all of this, I was billed in full, though promised that I would be credited back once everything was in order and they knew the exact amount to credit. I was also on a partial payment plan because they KNEW I was being billed a lot more than I would end up paying because of credits. I picked up my phone today to make a call and heard a recorded message stating I'd been disconnected due to non-payment. My next scheduled payment was suppose to be made on the first. So to top it all off they cut the phone off a week early for payment and I am at the end of my rope. I've already filled out 99% of the Comcast new service form online but I'm afraid to go through with it thinking the Cavalier lines (which Verizon actually owns) in the NID outside will make it impossible to do. I don't care about keeping the same number, I do know that Cavalier owns that now and as far as I am concerned, they can keep it. I just want service that works and I know the full problem with Cavalier is still nowhere near being resolved. moreResolved Question: How do I sit in on a court hearing in Washington DC?
Does anyone know how to sit in on a court hearing at any of the DC courts (besides the Supreme Court). Do I just walk in and just go to a random room? I didn't see a schedule online anywhere. I don't want to look crazy when I get there and say "Hey I just want to watch a trial." (even though that's exactly what I want to do) As boring as it may sound, I always wanted to sit in on a trial as a spectator. I know that television courtrooms are totally fake (you can't walk around the court room or walk up to the witness). I want to actually see one in progress. moreResolved Question: Are these television networks available all across the United States?
First off, allow me to point out that I am Italian. I am curious about how American television works. Are these networks televised throughout the entire U.S.? CBS, NBC, CNN, ABC How do you cope with the various time zones? Do you get specific programme schedules for each time area? I've always wondered about the late shows, such as those hosted by Letterman, O' Brien, Ferguson, Kimmel, Leno, etc. For what parts of the U.S. are they actually late? Are they broadcast at different times across the country? Perhaps some of the above networks are not available all across the U.S.A.? I'll be very grateful to anyone who will be so kind as to satisfy my curiosity. :-) moreResolved Question: Ugly Betty (Television Show) Help?
Last night, ABC showed previews of the shows "Samantha Who?" and "In The Motherhood" that are schedule for 8:00 - 8:30 and 8:30 - 9:00 on Thursdays! That's when "Ugly Betty" is on! Is there a new time or something? Help me? moreResolved Question: Former CNN correspondent running for Pres. of El Salvador on Communist Party ticket, are you surprised?
http://newsbusters.org/node/28644/print After a 12-year civil war and a peace undermined by soaring crime, leftists in El Salvador are on the verge of completing a remarkable journey from armed struggle to the presidential palace. Their candidate is a veteran TV broadcaster and morning talk show host, Mauricio Funes [4], whose Facebook page [5] lists his political views as “other.” Funes, 49, a former correspondent for CNN en Español, was recently recruited by the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN), the revolutionary group-turned-mainstream political party that is favored by polls to win the presidency in a vote scheduled for March 15.... Funes considers himself to be El Salvador's Barack Obama -- an agent of change in a country beset by the highest murder rate in Latin America and an economy in free fall. The comparison is overt: Funes and the FMLN use images of Obama in their ads (despite objections by the U.S. State Department), saying both candidates were smeared by their opponents as allies of extremists. The FMLN television spots complete the link by employing the Obama slogan in English and Spanish, vowing "Yes, we can!"... moreOther Television Schedules results
